Welcome to the East County Rose Society (ECRS) web page. We are located just east of San Diego, CA in the foothills. The rose society currently has over 250 members and is growing. Our membership is not limited to the East San Diego area. We currently have members from all over San Diego and welcome anyone who wants to join us to learn more about growing roses.
Meetings: Meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month and begin at 2:00. The society meets at the homes of members--check the calendar for the next meeting location. We meet monthly except for July and August. The meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome. For more information click on Contact Us. The cost of membership is $20.00 per year per household.
February Meeting: Sunday, February 7, 2010. Time - 1:00 to 3:00. NOTE TIME CHANGE. Several of our consulting rosarians have agreed to enligten and advise us in growing beautiful roses in our part of the county. Here is your opportunity to have your questions answered by the experts. They will tell us a little about how they grow roses in their own gardens and then we will open up the program to your questions. The meeting will be at the home of Velma Burke. The program will take place in the front of the house for easy access but do wear your walking shoes because you won't want to miss her lovely gardens--there is more than one. Be sure to bring a chair.
News: There will be a new website for the Pacific Southwest District. It is under construction but will be available for use soon. www.pacificsouthwestrose.org
See you there.
